How Can severe Abdominal Pain Be Treated?

Hi I found out that the pain in the upper right section of my abdomen is due to gallstones, my question is should the pain last for 3 or more days at a time and would it also cause a severe burning sensation in my stomach? How do you know when you should go to the hospital?

Hi, I think gallstones is a chronic problem which presents with abdominal pain with high severity at times. It can result in burning sensation also. The treatment is surgical only. You have to remove the gall bladder, because recurrence of stone formation is very high. Discuss with your doctor regarding this.
